There are little honey sticks in this box. It got painted yellow and black.

This is a jewelry box with 3 compartments that have hinged lids and 1 drawer that can pull right out. Walls are cherry and paofero, lids are padauk with maple lifts.

Extremely intricate work with scalpel and tweezers, and not too much coffee! The grain of the wood becomes part of the picture.

This was the front of a larger briefcase, each piece carefully chosen for color and grain pattern.

John was getting more creative and bold. No design is too difficult.

These are briefcases, hand built with the large picture made up of tiny pieces of wood carefully cut and pieced together, using tweezers and a magnifying glass, like a mosaic, letting the grain tell the story.
